Wales Portrait Award 2008

The Wales Portrait Award is a new Biennial designed to increase the awareness of portraiture as a fine art discipline. Little has been done to encourage portraiture in Wales since the late 19th century and this award is designed to redeem this gap in provision and to restore this important art form to its rightful place in modern Wales.

Corrie Chiswell was awarded second prize by Maurice Cockrill at The Williamson Art Gallery in Birkenhead.
